Responsibilities
Tasks
Maintain and fix computer networks, including LANs and WANs.
Set up and install computers, networking equipment, and software.
Install and update operating systems and networking programs.
Help users solve computer and network problems.
Protect computers, networks, and data from security threats.
Back up important data and restore it when needed.
Set up local networks and connect computers to the Internet.
Maintain and update websites, scripts, and applications.
Back up web servers and recover data if there is a problem.
